Kite is Here! One to grab for most of your adventures
For solo use, from late spring through to autumn, a simple ultralight tarp shelter teamed with a tub groundsheet bug net or bug bivi is ideal as a lightweight alternative to a tent. Such a system can be used both for sheltered wild camping and with a little fore-thought on a regular camp-site. The Kite works especially well in conjunction with the 'Room With a View' net tent in bug season, and with a Tyvec groundsheet otherwise. The silnylon 70D kite weighs 295g in basic form, the RWAV weighs from 325g, a few metres of dyneema cord as supplied, 8 optional pegs and a pole or natural tie out complete the system. A shelter system compact and light enough to travel in your pockets!
